Visit Ogston reservoir, which provides sailing, windsurfing and trout fishing, and is also great for bird watching: 200 species of birds recorded at this spot, just 5 miles away. Visit Matlock, 4 miles, which offers many antique shops and cafes, and 1 mile further, is Matlock Bath, with its cable car that reaches to the Heights of Abraham. Tour the mining museum or stroll around the shops and walk alongside the River Derwent. A great holiday base, 4 miles from Matlock. Shop 2 miles, pub serving food 1 mile and restaurant 3 miles.
